Elizabeth was born May 3, 1926 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Ruth (Huston) Wilson and Hazael Wilson.  It was in the era of the Tin Lizzies automobiles and Ruth did not want her to be called Lizzie, so she named her Betty.  She carried this name the rest of her life.  At a very young age her father died and her mother married Vincent Barber who had two daughters.   Betty, who had been an only child, now, had two sisters.  At a young age, Betty accepted Jesus as her Savior. Daily, Betty would spend time reading her Bible and devotional. In 1963, they moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado because of daughter, Mary's health. After staying some years in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Betty and her husband moved to Richland Center, Wisconsin. On September 18, 1986 her husband, Lynn passed away.  Betty remained in Richland Center until September 2001 when she moved to Akron, Colorado to be close to daughter Ruth.
