Annie Vasquez Alba, 66, former Deming resident passed away Sunday Sept. 8, 2013, at her home in Alamogordo.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at La Fonda Restaurant, in Deming. No services are planned and cremation has been entrusted to Baca's Mimbres Crematory.
She was born July 27, 1947, in Deming, to Maria Diaz and Santiago Vasquez. Annie attended Deming Public Schools and had worked at Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center, in Alamogordo, from which she retired last year.
She is survived by two sons Michael Alba, of Deming, and Arnie Alba, of Moab, Utah; two daughters Lisa Jasso, of Silver City, and Mary Margaret Sedillos, of Alamogordo; three sisters Alicia Rios, of Alamogordo, Lilia Narvaez, of Phoenix, Ariz., Gloria Lucero, of Central; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Hector Alba, in 2012, and a grandchild Christina Jasso.
Memorials in her name may be made at First New Mexico Bank.
