Bonnie Joyce Everett passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, in Albuquerque.
She was born Nov. 21, 1937, in San Bernardino, Calif., to Elmer and Olga Hedman.
She was a graduate of Redlands High School in Redlands, Calif. She earned a bachelor's degree in elementary school education from San Jose State University in San Jose, Calif.; and master's degree in education from University of LaVerne in Port Hueneme, Calif. She enjoyed a lifelong career in education as an elementary school teacher
Everett was a board member of the Church of the Epiphany in Cloudcroft, a "Pink Lady" volunteer at the hospital in Alamogordo and a member of the Mayhill Women's Club.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Madison "Dale"; three daughters, Michelle Pratt, of Huntington Beach, Calif., Stacey Popadak, of Temecula, Calif., and Kimberly Comino, of Weed; six grandsons; one granddaughter; and brother Monte Hedman, of Apple Valley, Calif.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Church of the Epiphany.
