Dwayne John Guillot Jr. (D.J.), 33, passed away April 25, 2014. D.J. was born Nov. 11, 1980, in Alamogordo.
The most important thing to D.J. was his family. He loved with every bit of his heart and would give his all to keep a smile on his loved one's faces. He was a sheet metal mechanic, roofer and enjoyed remodeling and construction work.
D.J. is survived by his loving family: parents, Dwayne and Rita Guillot Sr.; sister Crystal Trevizo and husband, Robert; nieces Adairah and Ayriani (also his goddaughter) and his godson Cruziano Parks. He is also survived by his grandmothers Diane Miller and Norma Guillot, aunts and uncles, Gonzalo and Lynn Estrada, Leo and Diane Estrada, Margaret and Rudy Calderon, Micael Guillot and Darlene and Manuel Gutierrez (also his godparents) and their families; his girlfriend Victoria Monasterio and family, Alexis, Giovanni, David, Taylor; and his baby twins on the way.
D.J. had many more uncles, aunts, cousins and friends who he dearly loved.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Gonzalo Estrada Sr., Vernon Guillot and Eugene Miller; his cousin Isaac Calderon and his baby boy Josiah.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, at First Assembly Worship Center with Pastor Justin Crispin officiating.
Interment will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sammy Estrada, James Estrada, Keith Estrada, Richard Gutierrez, Israel Gutierrez and Elias Sanchez.
Honorary pallbearers are Ivan Baros, Jr., Jodi Arthur, Andrew Padilla, Jr., Michael Lucero, Albert Ochoa and Chad Parks.
The family will greet friends at 10 a.m. at the church before the service.
The Guillot family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
