J. Denzel Davis, 35, of El Cajon, Calif., passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013. He was born in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., on March 25, 1978.
Denzel graduated from Alamogordo High School and he proudly served in the U.S. Navy
from August 1996 to February 2007. He was most recently employed by Dr. Hau Tan as a licensed Vocational Nurse.
He was always smiling and his infectious attitude kept those he encountered on a daily basis smiling.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed fostering relationships with all individuals from every walks of life, great food with great friends, riding his motorcycle and writing poetry.
Those who were fortunate to know him, know that he loved life and living it to the fullest. He was very comfortable with the uncomfortable.
Denzel's greatest accomplishment was his son Dominic, whom his world revolved around. Dominic was his universe, his reason for being and now his legacy.
He is survived his 6-year-old son Dominic, his mother Anita, brother Andrew Jr. James, sister Rebecca, a niece, two nephews, several cousins and other relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held the same day from 1-5 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in California.
