Johnny Ray Farmer

Johnny Ray Farmer, 66, a lifelong resident of Alamogordo, was called back home to heaven on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013.
Born June 12, 1946, in Carrizozo, he was the son of the late Espiridion Farmer Sr. and Angie Guilez.
Johnny loved to spend time with his family and countless friends. Like a ray of light, he had a personality that people were naturally drawn to.
He was blessed with many God-given gifts and enjoyed countless passions. Above all, he absolutely loved riding motorcycles - he was most happy and free with the sun on his face and the wind in his hair.
Merely mentioning his grandchildren below does not justify how much he adored them. He loved them with all that he was and all that he had. He was lovingly referred to by them as "Papo."
Johnny is survived by his wife, Ginger; son Arthur (Glenda) Farmer; daughters Amy (Carl) Bortz and Abigail Condito; stepsons Darrell Vigil and Randy Duran; grandchildren Joshua Farmer, Alexis and Tristan Wendl, Adam Condito and Charlize Duran; brother James; sisters Elfida Cook, Jane Muniz, Sylvia Elizondo and Belle Covarrubia; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Espiridion (Speedy) Farmer Jr., and one sister Elaine Scibetta.
Per his wishes the family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
