Linda Sue Leder, 59, was born Feb. 3, 1954 in Salina, Kan. Went home to Jesus on Dec. 29, 2013, surrounded by family and friends.
She loved her family and friends dearly.
Linda would give to anyone in need of anything. She also worked at Betty Dare and was a cook at Casa Arena for 19 years. She was an auxiliary sister for the Fraternal Order of the Eagles for several years - she was a true Eagle.
She was the life of any party; she was a jokester and a prankster. She was always smiling.
Linda was loved by everyone. She never met a stranger. Her gifts from God were in hospitality and generosity. She did catering, cleaned houses and was a wonderful cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Leder; brother Larry and Darrell Ledeboer, sister Judy McGuire and parents Arthur and Rachael Ledeboer.
She is survived by her siblings Janice Wilson, of Alamogordo, Gary Ledeboer, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Gail Badeaux and husband, Jim, of El Paso, and Alice Jenkins, of Houston; her children Alice and her husband, Mario, of Louisville, Ky., Christine Slape, of Colorado Springs, and Jim and wife, Tara, of Alamogordo; nine grandchildren; and one great-child and another on the way.
Special thanks to caregivers Alice Slape, Tina Woller, Mary Fisher, Justine Slape and Roseanna Myers and an extended thank you to the hospice team.
There will a celebration of her life at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 4101 24th St., in Alamogordo.
The Leder family and the Eagles #4101 have has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements.
