Lloyd "Buster" Nowell, 73, passed away on Nov. 7, 2013, at his home in Tularosa. He was born Nov. 12, 1939, in Tularosa to Alfred and Nolene Nowell. He served on the USS Ranger during his years in the US Navy. Buster was an industrial photographer at Holloman A.F.B. until he retired.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mary M. "Margo" Nowell; children Coe and Josephine Nowell, of Bent, Shelley Bryant, of Nogal Canyon, Tamara Bryant, of La Luz, Garry and Jeri Saenz, of Nogal Canyon, Jackie Bryant, of Tularosa; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers Dwayne Nowell, of Alamogordo, and Kenneth and Francis Nowell, of Bent; sisters Betty McNoldy, of Grand Junction, Colo., and Nelda Bishop, of Alamogordo; and brother-in-law, Jack Myers, of Tularosa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Raney Nowell.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at the Tularosa United Methodist Church.

The Nowell family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.
