Manuel Guerra Sida, 70, passed away on Nov. 7, 2013. He was born on Feb. 3, 1943, a lifetime resident of Alamogordo. Manuel was devoted to our Father Lord and Savior and proud to be a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his mother Adelina Guerra, father Isabel Sida, brothers Andrew Anderson and Arturo "Tudy" Quinones, paternal grandmother Juanita Liñan, maternal grandparents Nicolas and Ermiña Guerra, uncles Ben, Nick and Rudy Guerra; and his aunt Guadalupe "Lupe" Apodaca.
Survivors include his brother David Sida and his wife, Becky; sisters Gloria Aragon and Corina Q. Duran and her husband, Andy; uncle Tito Sida and his wife, Maria; aunts Catilina Lucero, Juanita Brusuelas and Pauline Aragon; his very special cousin that was always there for him, Helen Guererro, and her husband, Ricky, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins that Manuel loved dearly.
Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church by his sister Cornia Duran. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. after the Rosary. Inurnment will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.
The family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.
