Ysidro M. Garcia, Sr., 72, of Tularosa, passed away Feb. 1, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. He was a proud and loving husband, father, abuelo, brother, tio and friend.
He was born May 15, 1941, in Encinoso, N.M.
He is preceded in death by his parents Simon and Casimira Garcia, brothers Eugene M., Fernando M. and George M. Garcia; and son Simon I. Garcia.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pauline Garcia; son Ysidro Garcia, Jr. (Renee) and daughter Nancy Carlin (Todd); brother Juan M. Garcia (Delma); and sisters Aurora Jaramillo (Inez), Eva Fresquez, Jane Diaz (Al) and Irene Pena; mother-in-law Tiburcia "Mother" Beltran; brother-in-law Carlos Beltran (Cecilia); sisters-in-law Candy Duran (Frank), Kika Trujillo (Al) and Negra Carrillo (Lucas); grandkids Daniel Garcia, Nick Garcia, Anjelica Liggon (Julian), Kari Garcia (Chris), Kina Garcia (John), Gar Ridenour, Buck Ridenour, Tauny Jones (James) andThatcher Carlin (Erin); and great-grandkids Richard and Michael Garcia, Jerome Liggon, Benjamin and Jocelynn Jones, and Jayden Jones (deceased).
Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Matt Carroll of the Church of Christ in Tularosa, officiating.
Ysidro asked that no money be spent on flowers but instead that donations may be made in his name to the Ronald McDonald House.
The family would like to thank all the staff at the Dialysis Center in Alamogordo.
The Garcia family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.
