Hey vern, just thought about you today, work hasn't been the same since you been gone. But I was reminded of a special time at Presto where you're coffee cups got the best of you and pissed you off to no end. It started off a great morning, you were dressed in your coveralls like usual when the EPA showed up for their inspections. Just as the inspection was coming to a close, you and the inspector headed into your office where you had all your special coffee cups hanging on the wall. You know, the one's with all the old coffee stains still on them. The inspector looked at them and asked if you drink from them, you said sure do. Then the inspector pulled them off the wall and said, " no you don't " as he smashed them on the ground. All you hear after that is you yelling and the inspector trying to get the hell out of there. We learned a good lesson that day. Don't come between you and your coffee. Man I miss those days.
You're never going to be forgotten bud. Miss ya.

Grandpa.....we love you and will miss you terribly. My fondest memories of you would have to be the holidays, you always knew how to have a good time and get the party started. You were such a talented man. You knew how to fix, build, and cook anything in this world. I wish I could of learned so many more things from you. Anybody who met you....loved you. I will think of you everyday grandpa and ill remind Adairah of you constantly. I couldn't of asked God for a better Grandfather. Sleep in peace now and dont spoil too many angels with your cooking. As I am truthfully saddened buy the passing of Vern I am also eternally grateful that I had the pleasure to work for, and with him. Vern gave me opportunity and guidance that have meant the world to me. He was of the old school, one of a kind, and I will sorely miss him. May GOD bless you all at this time . Carry on my good man and by all means continue to give em the what for. Thank You for everything that you did for me Vern. I'll feel that this world is a little more hollow, and empty now that you are not among us, but you will never be forgotten. May the Good Lord bless your family and give them comfort. Thank you once again for all that you did for me and mine, our prayers and thoughts are with you and yours. Love you Vern
