Charles "Chuck" L. Rodgers, 74, went to be with our lord Tuesday, May 1, 2012, in Lovelace Hospital in Albuquerque. He was born in Delwin, Texas, on Nov. 6, 1937, to Charles Weldon and Freda Perkins Rodgers.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 28 years, Dolores Howell Rodgers; sister Paula Rodgers Weldon; children Weldon Ray Rodgers, Hershel Don Rodgers and wife, Lisa, and Melinda Rodgers Bliss and husband, Scott; stepdaughters Paige Nolan Myles and husband, Berry, and Ellen Nolan; grandchildren James Rodgers, Andrew Rodgers, Ryan Cobb and David Rogers; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sandra Rodgers Boyd.
Chuck attended Texas Tech University and was employed as a civil engineer for most of his career working for the Department of Defense (U.S. Air Force).
The Rodgers family will greet friends between 2 and 4 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012, with the celebration of life service immediately following at Alamogordo Funeral Home, 2301 First St., Alamogordo.
Family and friends will gather at Chuck and Dolores' home at 4 Wedgewood Court in Alamogordo following the service.

The Rodgers family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.
