David Wood Stanley, 63, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in his
sleep on Feb. 1, 2014.
Born in Burlington, Vt., he served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam War and
later lived San Diego, Truth or Consequences, Ruidoso and lastly in
Seventh Heaven Ranch in Tularosa. He lived a happy and fruitful life. In
his earlier years he was a volunteer firefighter in Jeffersonville, Vt.,
as well as a ski instructor. For the later part of his years, he was a
general contractor and entrepreneur. He loved his motorcycle, working
with his hands and all the people around him.
He was full of life, caring for a cause and very energetic.
He is survived by family including his wife, Suzanne; sister Gail Hansen
and her daughter Kaitlyn; mother of his children, Dawn; son Kevin and
wife, Elnaz, and their daughter Mazzy; daughter Becky and her sons John
and Joe; and ex-wife Karen and stepchildren Crystal and Ginger.
He was dearly loved and all will miss him greatly.
As requested by David, no funeral or memorial services will be held at
this time.
