Alfred Allen Goddard, 93, World War II Marine veteran of the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, passed away on May 15, 2014, in his home in Alamogordo. He was born on June 3, 1920, in Denver, Colo., to Alfred and Ethel Scott Goddard.
Survivors include his children: Paul Goddard and wife, Beverly; Marie Goddard; Tom Goddard and wife, Kelly; and Lee Allen Goddard; his grandchildren: Michelle Goddard; Jennifer Massa and husband, Ryan; Randall Blahut; Sarah Blahut; Thomas Adam Goddard; Brandy Hise and husband, Jeremy; and his stepgrandson, David White; great-grandchildren: Cole Massa; Carter Massa; Aaron Goddard, Logan Hise and Grace Hise; and his brother Richard Goddard..
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son George and his wife Dorothy.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home.
Inurnment will follow at a later date at Crown Hill Cemetery, Denver, Colo.
Should friends desire, contributions may be made to Alamogordo Hospice.
The Goddard family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.
