Bonnie Faye Lott of Alamogordo passed away Saturday, June 23, 2013. She was born in Floydada, Texas, on Sept. 14, 1915. She married James Leonard Lott in 1934.
Bonnie and Leonard resided in Roswell for 50 years. She retired from Chaves County Schools. She was also an accomplished seamstress and upholster. They owned and operated an upholstery business in Roswell before moving to Alamogordo in 1984. Everyone in the family thought she was the best cook in the world. Bonnie was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Alamogordo.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Lott; two sons, Leonard Rex Lott and George Thomas Lott; and great granddaughter Dominique Rice.
Survivors include her daughter Donella Perry and husband, Gene, of Alamogordo; and son Kenneth Lott and wife Sally of Richardson, Texas, ten grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Bonnie resided at the Aristocrat Assisted Living Center for the past eight years where she received the best of care. Alamogordo Home Care and Hospice provided end of life support. We thank all the special people involved in Bonnie's care for their tender love and concern.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at the Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home chapel with Doug Ledbetter and Chuck Moon officiating.
Interment will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 5-6 pm, Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the funeral home.
The Lott family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
