Douglas Joseph Rau, 67, was born Aug. 9, 1946, in St. Cloud, Minn., to Eugene and Dorothy (Fisher) Rau. He passed away Sept. 24, 2013, at his home in Yukon.
On Sept. 8, 1968, Douglas married Connie Durand. In 1978, Douglas and his family moved from El Paso, to Yukon. Doug was a born salesman and loved his work with General Mills. He retired after 25 years of service. Douglas filled his retirement years watching his grandkids grow, spending time with his family, taking long walks and camping trips with his favorite friend, Raudy.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Connie Rau, of the home; son Ryan Rau and wife, Lori, of Yukon; daughter MarNee Altebaumer and husband, Shawn, of Yukon; sister Carol Bernard, of Lancaster, Calif.; grandchildren Aaron, Joshua, Blake and Noah; step-grandchildren Jacob, Kaleb, Jayce and Alex; and numerous extended family and friends.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, in the St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church Chapel. Interment will be private.
