Edward Ragan, 85, passed away Aug. 11, 2013, after a long illness. He was born Jan. 3, 1928, in Seminok, Okla., to H.H. (Pete) and Virgie Ragan, of Mayhill.

Edward was a long-time resident and owner of R&S Kennels, in Alamogordo. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran serving in Japan with the Transportation Corps.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, six brothers B.J. Ragan, E.S. Ragan, J.T. Ragan, B.E. Ragan, D.H. Ragan and baby Ragan and one sister, D.N. Ragan.
He is survived by long-time friend and caregiver, Frances Nicholson; three sisters Estelle Moser, Gladys Bonnell and husband, Don, and Myrtle Height; brother Johnny Ragan and wife, Faye, and many nieces, nephews and good friends.
Edward, besides owning and operating R&S Kennels for over 52 years, worked at Holloman for Howard Huges. Per Edwards request, "love your pets," and take time to talk to everyone!
There are no services planned.
