Lawrence ‘Larry’ D. Dubour Obituary
Lawrence "Larry" D. Dubour born Aug. 13, 1940. The 11th child of 15 to Ernest and Milred Dubour of Springfield, Mass., Passed away Dec. 26, 2012, in his home.
After high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force spending eight years and eight months active duty.
He married his first wife in Tucson, Ariz. In this marriage, they had two children, Steven and Jennifer.
He worked for Shell Oil Co. in California upon relocating he worked as a plumber in El Paso. He attended an apprenticeship program for five year at a technical school in El Paso.
Upon his divorce from his first wife, he moved back to Massachusetts. He then went to work as a steam fitter for Uniroyal Tire Co. where he met and married his second wife Christine Anderson. In this marriage, he had one child Brian. He then relocated again and moved to Alamogordo in 1976. At that time, he went to work at Holloman Air Force Base as a plumber. He retired in December of 1999 opening a second-hand store in 1995.
Five years before he retired from the Department of Defense, he retired completely in 2009 because of his health. He is proceeded in death by his parents, three brothers Ray, Ernie and Tommie and his three sisters, Shirley, Norma and Janet.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Christine; six brothers Ron, Dan, Mike, Jerry, Dave and John; two sisters Jean and Lois, three grandchildren Charles, Amber McQueen, and Makinsy Dubour; two sons Steven and Brian; and two daughter-in-laws Judy and Jessica.
Memorial service will be at the at the Masonic Lodge No. 24 at 11 a.m. Jan. 5, 2013.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Masonic Lodge, 1100 Vermont Ave., Alamogordo, N.M. 88310.
