Raymond Balderrama Sr. passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, after a lengthy illness.

He was born Dec. 5, 1925, in Alamogordo to Ciriaco and Soledad Castillo Balderrama. He worked with Rea in Cloudcroft and later worked at Holloman Air Force Base for 32 years until his retirement. He enjoyed horse-shoeing, hunting, camping with his family and cutting wood in the Three Rivers area.
Survivors include Raymond Jr. and wife, Rona; Frankie Sr. and wife, Elaine, of Tularosa; brothers Ignacio and wife, Virginia and Johnny; sisters Carmen Estrada, Bertha Valdez and husband, Irvin; Angie Gallegos and husband, Jimmy; and his special companion Isabel Allen and her family. He had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents, wife, Rumalda, brothers Nachito, Robert, Joseph and Cruz Balderrama, his son Louis Balderrama and daughter Lupita Balderrama.
Final resting place will be in Three Rivers. Holy Mass will be at 10 a.m. April 13, 2013, at Santo Nino De Atocha Church. Immediately following the burial, a potluck reception will be on the church grounds.
