Wanda J. Norris entered the church triumphant Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at the age of 88, in Alamogordo.

She was the beloved wife of Elmer, dear mother of Jeri Thorton (deceased), Linda Richardson, Trella Bell, Tracy Bell and Kristine Boykin; dear stepmother of Elizabeth Hoffmann, David Norris and Allen Norris; loving grandmother of 17, loving great-grandmother of 23, and loving great-great-grandmother of two. She was the sister of Wayne Wright (deceased), Ronald Wright (deceased) and Dayle Wright. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Wanda moved from Arizona to Alamogordo in 2005 and was active in First Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon and in ministries. She provided school supplies, caring for an orphan in Bolivia, serving in the meal program at St. John Episcopal Church, and making handcrafts for the holiday craft fair, as well as distributing prayer shawls to people who needed healing.
A memorial service celebrating Wanda's life was Saturday, Nov. 16 at First Presbyterian Church, in Alamogordo.
