Beulah Walker, 95
Beulah Walker, known to all as Johnnie, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 at her home in Tularosa on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014. She was born in California but had resided in Tularosa for 51 years.
She was loved for her kindness, gentleness, sweet spirit and her willingness to help others. She was a firm supporter of the Tularosa Community Church and the First Baptist Church and played the piano at both churches for several years.
Johnnie is survived by her daughters Dayle Walker, who currently resides in Tularosa, and Lynnette Walker, who lives in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. She also has a grandson, Justin Wall, a great-grandson, Isaac Wall, who lives in Las Vegas, Nev., and a younger sister, Lois McKay, who lives in Modesto, Calif.
Memorial services will be held at the Tularosa Community Church, located at 101 Central Avenue in Tularosa, at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014. Lunch will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to a church or charity organization would be preferable.
The Walker family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.
