Scott Mondragon, 50, passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, in El Paso, Texas. He was born Dec. 2, 1961, in Tooele, Utah, to Esther and Fernando Mondragon.
Scott has been married to his wife, Rita, for 28 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, dancing, sports and spending time with family and friends. He loved being around children, joking and making everyone laugh.
Survivors include his wife, Rita; daughters Carmelita, of Silver City, Jessica, of Albuquerque, and Melissa Thompson and husband, John, of Kentucky; son Nathan, of Alamogordo; seven grandchildren; his mother Esther King; three brothers; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, brother Earl Mondragon and sister Geri Mascarenas.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at the Alamogordo Funeral Home chapel.
The Mondragon family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.
