Richard S Martinez went home to be with his Lord on Nov. 4, 2012. He was born Oct. 7, 1952, in East Los Angeles, Calif., to Salvador and Lucy Martinez.

They then moved to Alamogordo, where he spent the rest of his life.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents Salvador and Lucy Martinez, a sister Glorianne Martinez, and a step-daughter Hope Whittington Bennett.
He is survived by two ex-wives, which he considered to be his best friends Kris Bridge and Mickie Martinez and children Barry Gabriel Martinez and partner, Kelly Sears, of Houston, Texas; Rikki Andrade and husband, Mark, of Alamogordo; Sara Blankenship and husband, Zane, of La Luz; Quentin Martinez, of Alamogordo.
He is also survived by his pride and joy, his grandchildren Taylor Hunter, Jayden Hunter, Dauvian Andrade and Bailey Blankenship.
There is one special niece that he loved like one of his own daughters, Apryl Stickels. Apryl you have been amazing and we are blessed to have you in our lives.
Thank you so much. Richard had many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends which he loved dearly as well.
Family was the most important thing in his life.
He was the rock that held us together and will be greatly missed.
Richard has touched many lives and lives on through us all.
