Benjamin Franklin Gray, 77, passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012 in Mescalero. He was born on Sunday, Dec. 23, 1934, in Donwood, West Va., to Ambert and Willie (Massey) Gray.

He was a retired Senior Master Sergeant having served twenty nine years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association and was a member of AARP. He loved to hike in the mountains.
He is survived by his wife, Shelva D. Gray, of the family home; his sons, Steven F. Gray and wife Martha of Las Vegas, N.M., Mark A. Gray and wife Velda of Deatsville, Ala., and David K. Gray and wife Malina of Houston and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services for Benjamin Franklin Gray will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Peace Tabernacle, Alamogordo, with Pastor Neal Royer officiating.
Interment will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery with full Military Honors provided by the Holloman Air Force Base Steel Talons Honor Guard.
The family will greet friends from 9 to 10 a.m. before the funeral at the church.
The Gray family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
