Robert F. Parsons, 79
Robert Fraizer "Digger" Parsons (USMC) passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in Alamogordo. He was born to Gladys and Arthur Parsons on Aug. 29, 1930, in Astoria, Ore.
Bob enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1947. He fought bravely during the Korean and Vietnam wars and earned several commendations to include Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Bob lived a full life and enjoyed his retirement living in Dog Canyon with his wife.
Bob is survived by his wife of 25 years, Bonnie Parsons, and his children Sarah Finley and her husband, Mitch, and their daughter Freya; and Susie Alday and her husband, Rufi, and their children.
A Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2013, at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
