Billy D. Adams, 78, passed away on Oct. 9, 2013, in Alamogordo. He was born on Aug. 1, 1935, in Washington, Okla., to Charles and Ola McPherson Adams.
Billy was the Optics Manager for the Highspeed Test Track for many years working for Land-Air, DynCorp, NewTec and NASA. He loved playing golf, growing tomatoes, making homemade salsa and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Adams, of Alamogordo; sons Dennis Alan Adams and wife, Debbie, of Houston, Texas, Duane Lee Adams and wife, Tanya, of Alamogordo, and Lee Alan Adams and partner, Alex ,of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren Stephanie Bunker, Andy Adams, Jenny Adams, Collin Adams and Nolan Adams; and great-grandson Matthew Collin Adams.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Marie Bunker and grandson Bryon Lee Adams.
Memorial services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel with Chuck Moon officiating.
