Delfina Tyquiengco Aguigui, 91, passed away on Sept. 21, 2013, in Alamogordo. She was born on Dec. 1, 1921, in Merizo, Guam to Ignacio and Buenbinida Tyguiengco Aguigui.
She was an educator and retired school principal. She lived with her niece Patricia Bellard and her husband, Clarence, from Feb. 12, 2012, until her death. She was a long-time volunteer with the GCRMC Auxiliary and the Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include her niece Patricia Bellard and husband, Clarence, of Alamogordo; and niece Esther Aguigui, of Guam; her sisters and brothers Rosa A. Reyes and husband, Ignacio; Maria A. Aguon and husband, Simeon; Carmen A. Cruz and husband, Jesus; Felix T. Aguigui; Ana A. Hambley and husband, Charles; Jose T. Aguigui; Jesus T. Aguigui; Joaquin T. Aguigui and wife, Teresita; and Francisco Aguigui and wife, Brigida. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Guam, Alamogordo and throughout the U.S. Mainland United States.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated for Delfina at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2013 at St. Jude Parish with Father Wayne, Celebrant.
Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at Alamogordo Funeral Home. The family will greet friends at 3 p.m. at the funeral home before the Rosary.
The Aguigui family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.
