Margaret "Maggie" Hagee, 89, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at her home in Tularosa. She was born July 2, 1924, in Alto to Willie T. "Scott" and Lena Bell Easley Hagee.
Maggie spent her life in Tularosa. She loved to work in her beautiful yard and paint. Maggie loved life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother William Hagee, sisters June Charlton, Louise Fitts and Betty Decker; daughter Derinda Kay; grandson Wendell Virden; and great-grandson Tait Short.
Survivors include her daughter Joan Virden and husband, Marlin; daughter Pamela Breidhaupt and husband, Charles; grandchildren Terry Skaggs and wife, Margaret, Judy Moyers, Buddy Virden and wife, Nancy, Eugene Virden and wife, Ellen, Mike Kaber and wife, Tammy, Tawnya Kaber and Leasha Kaber; 13 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild.
A Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, in the Angus Cemetery, in Alto.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family would like to thank her caregivers Peggy, Joann and Lucy for all the love and care given to Maggie.
The Hagee family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.
