Earls, Doris Evelyn - Duncan  
Funeral service for Doris Evelyn Earls, 94, of Duncan, will be at the Centennial Chapel at Altus City Cemetery on Tuesday, April 21, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Max Dowling, Burkburnett, Texas officiating under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Altus City Cemetery. Doris Evelyn (Chandler) Earls was born to Donald Edward and Ethel Lillian (Mizner) Chandler in Altus on Dec. 6, 1920 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 17, 2015 in Marlow. She graduated from Altus High School in 1939 and married Joe R. "J.R." Earls on Oct. 20, 1941 in Altus, and where married for 73 years. Doris enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and had always been adored by her large family for her wonderful dry sense of humor, she loved to laugh. She was a member of Hope Community Church, Marlow. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Winnie Moon and Edna Farris; and a brother, Donald R. Chandler. Survivors include her husband, J.R. Earls of Duncan; a son, Joe E. Earls and wife Gail of Midland, Ga.; a daughter, Vicki Ballard and boyfriend Bill Holden of Duncan; four grandchildren, Steven Earls and wife Raina of Midland, Evan Ballard of Norman, Brooke Ballard of Norman, and Leslie Holden of Duncan; five great-grandchildren, Caleigh, Andrew, Charlotte and Hannah Earls of Midland, and Harper Holden of Duncan; a sister, Wilma Worrell of Norwalk, Calif.; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
