Julian Wayne Brown

Julian Wayne Brown, 66, of Sulphur, formerly of Altus, passed away Thursday morning, Feb. 20, 2014, at the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Sulphur.
Mr. Brown was born in Ahoskie, N.C. on May 10, 1947, to Julian and Viola Brown. A graduate of Ahoskie High School, Julian joined the United States Air Force in 1969, where he proudly served his country for the next four years. Assigned to Altus Air Force Base in 1972, Julian established a home in Altus, where he raised his family. Moving back to North Carolina for a time and later to Oklahoma City, he moved to the Sulphur Veteran Center in 2007, when his health began to fail.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Bill Brown; and his first wife, Juanita (Horton) Brown.
He is survived by six children, Chris Jenkins, Carla Fleming and husband Alfred, Dionne Brown, Yohance Brown and wife JoLinda, Corel Brown and Brandi Brown; 13 grandchildren, Damien, Brandon, Ashley, Malcolm, Marquita, Darquia, Jaycie, Jaylie, De' jon, Denaisha, Darion, Aerial, and Charlie; along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor De Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.
