Lori Lynn Phillips, 43, of Duncan, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home in Altus.
Lori was born Oct. 24, 1970 in Tulsa to Lynn and Shirley (Rice) Edwards. She graduated from Duncan High School with the class of 1988. She made good grades in school without even having to study hard and she had a good memory. Lori was a free spirit who lived her life exactly how she wanted. She was truly "one of a kind." Lori was a wife and a mother. She enjoyed music and singing, as she had a beautiful voice. She was once asked in music class to be a part of the Honor Choir but declined. Lori didn't want to be in the spotlight. She had attended Alladin Beauty College in Duncan and was a hairdresser for a short time. She especially loved her cat Lucy. Her parents gave her unconditional love. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Lori is survived by her daughter, Caitlynn Jo Phillips of McAlester; one sister, Jennifer Cain and husband Jack of Duncan; parents, Lynn and Shirley Edwards of Duncan; a niece, Jillian Evans; and many friends.
