I first met Boyd when Arch Hess was sheriff, along with Chief Homer Evans was in office. I admired his patience, a positive individual and a great personality. I started in Law Enforcement in 1968, along with others who knew Boyd, Chuck Bastian, Chief Mike Shiasaki (spelling), Larry Hultz, Darrel Tabor and others serving city and county jurisdiction.
I have since retired as a Special Agent with the Federal government in 2011, and I salute you Boyd Summers who served your local citizens well. Rest in Peace and my thoughts and prayers are with all your family members and good friends.

I worked with Boyd when he was an investigator for the Bingham County Prosecutor's Office when I was a Deputy Prosecutor and then a Public Defender. Boyd was an honest, hard working person who did his job well. He was practical but fair and always had the safety of the residents of Bingham County upper most in his actions.
My favorite story concerning Boyd was when I asked him if he ever had to shoot anyone. His response was heavens no, I've never even pulled my gun on anyone. My condolences for your loss. Boyd will be missed.

I was privileged to get to know Boyd when we both worked in the Bingham County prosecutor's office. It was a joy working with him. It was a fine man and taught me a lot. My condolences to his family. Colin Luke
