Brendan Henry Dixey, 14

Brendan Henry Dixey, 14, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho after a valiant fight with cancer.

Brendan was born February 9, 2001 in Pocatello, Idaho to Waylinn Dixey and Marlene M. Manuelito Dixey. He attended school at Stoddard Elementary and Fort Hall Elementary and had just finished at Mountain View Middle School in Blackfoot.

Brendan was a gamer, he loved to play video games. He enjoyed traveling, reading, building legos, going to movies and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his parents, Waylinn and Marlene of Blackfoot; sisters, Kristyn (Alex) Duchscher of Pocatello and Alisia (Jose) Ballesteros of Boise; uncles, Harvey Manuelito, Jackson Samuel Tracy Jr and Raphael Tissidimit; aunts, Mildred Manuelito, Angela Tracy and Marie S. Tracy; grandmother, Susie M. Tracy of Fort Hall; and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Leathie V. Dixey; grandfathers, Jackson Tracy Sr and Henry Manuelito; and great uncles, Ralph Francis, R. Willis and Barney E. Dixey.

A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. Brendan will be taken to his residence on Diggie Road at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 and remain there until his Traditional Native American Burial at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Gibson Cemetery.
