Bruce Lee Obituary
Bruce Lee, 88, of Blackfoot, passed away Friday, January 1, 2016 at Bingham Memorial Hospital.  
Bruce was born on April 7,1927 in Ammon Idaho to Wiley Lee and Deloraus Anderson. He graduated from Ammon High School in 1945. He then served an LDS mission in the Texas/Louisiana area. Upon returning from his mission, he worked with his father on the family farm. He married his childhood sweetheart Jeannine Marie Judy on November 15, 1951 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together they raised three children.   
Bruce's passion in life was farming and watching crops grow. Bruce farmed with his father and then on his own farm for 5 years before deciding to take a job with Roger Brothers in Idaho Falls.  After several years, he took a job with Basic American Foods, and moved his family to Blackfoot in 1963. He worked for Basic as a production superintendent for 35 years. Upon his retirement, he and Jeannine moved to Mesa, Arizona. Bruce then began his second career working in retail. He worked at Handy Fred's and Alberton's. He loved the Arizona sunshine and golfing. In 2004, he and Jeannine returned to Blackfoot, where Bruce continued to work at Albertson's until he was 82. He was a hard worker and enjoyed being busy and useful. He raised a garden until just last year.
Bruce was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served many years as ward clerk and was a member of the East Stake High Council. He enjoyed his service and association with all.?Bruce is survived by his children, Debra (Gene) Balsmeier, of Blackfoot, ID, Greg (Julie) Lee, of Blackfoot, ID, and Lori Darrington, of Sandy, UT; his sisters, Audrey Rogers, of Kaysville, UT and Glenda (Lonnie) Adams, Syracuse, UT; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was lovingly known by his grandchildren as Pa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannine, and his parents Wiley and Deloraus Lee, and his brother Francis Lee.  
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2015 at the Hawker Funeral Home 132 S. Shilling Ave. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10–11 a.m. Graveside services will follow in the Ammon Cemetary at 1:30 p.m.
