Clara DeLila Peterson Boyce Walters Obituary
Clara DeLila Peterson Boyce Walters, 91, of Neosho, Missouri and formerly of Blackfoot, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016  at the Spring River Christian Village in Joplin, Missouri.
DeLila was born April 9, 1924, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Joseph William and Sarah Elizabeth Palmer Peterson. She was raised and received her education in the Thomas-Rockford area.
On July 18, 1940 she married Ralph Boyce at Thomas, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in August 1958 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. During their marriage the lived in the Thomas for 19 years and then moved to Pocatello, they owned and operated Ralph's Day and Night Laundromat, for 14 years before returning to live in Riverside for 17 years and then in Blackfoot on South Shilling. Ralph preceded her in death on March 18, 1990. DeLila married Clyde W. Walters on December 21, 1996 at Idaho Falls, Idaho. He preceded her in death on April 4, 2000.
DeLila was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has served as Relief Society President, Young Women's Advisor, fulfilled a mission to North Dakota and worked as a temple worker for 15 years.
She worked as a cook in the Snake River School District while her children were being raised.
DeLila was always busy, gardening, working and cooking.  She loved the the times spent with her family. 
She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Fresh, of Riverside, Irene Taylor, Neosho, Missouri, 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Boyce; husband, Clyde Walters; sons, Vernon R. Boyce and Virgil Lamar Boyce; daughter, Connie Koga; her parents; brothers, Joseph  Peterson and Calvin Peterson and sisters, Josie Brown, Cleo Webb, Alice Mickelson, Martha Dance and Phelma Wood.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2016 at Hawker Funeral Home. The family will greet friends and relatives from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016 and again for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to: www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.
