Delores Lemon Rasley Obituary
An angel on this earth gained her Heavenly wings. Delores Lemon Rasley, 75, of Blackfoot, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
Delores was born February 25, 1941 in Mauriceville, Texas, to Charles Calvin Alonzo Choate and Vera Colleen Arrington.  She moved to Blackfoot with her family when she was 16 years old. She attended school in Blackfoot and graduated from Blackfoot High School. Following graduation she attended nursing school and earned her nursing license.
She married Lonnie Lemon, he preceded her in death. She later married Michael Rasley on August 7, 2000, at Soda Springs, Idaho.
Delores was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved serving in the Primary, Relief Society and as a Visiting Teacher.
She worked as a nurse before going to work for Dr. Gardner as a dental assistant, she worked for him for over 25 years.  She also worked as a Psychiatric Tech at State Hospital South for over 15 years. She was very giving and enjoyed caring for others.
Delores loved gardening and tending her roses, they flourished under her care. She loved animals and they got lots of TLC from her, especially her special Rottweiler, Moose. Delores loved the simple pleasures of life and cherished her time with her family, especially her sister, Lizzie. She enjoyed cooking for others and was an excellent cook.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; her sons: Christopher Charles (Cindy) Lemon, of Blackfoot, Michael William Lemon, of Pocatello, Damon Gregory (Melanie) Lemon, of Kuna, Idaho; step-children: Tyler (Courtney) Rasley, of Eden, Utah, Ryan (Kasi) Rasley, of Ogden, Utah, Lani (Adam) Stockwell, of Waukesha, Wisconsin, and Amy (Matthias) Rasley, of Livermore, California; brother, Lonnie (Valerie) Choate, of Nampa, Idaho; sister, Elizabeth Choate, of Kuna, Idaho; 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Choate and Vera Colleen Thurman, and her husband Lonnie Lemon.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. The family will greet friends and relatives from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2016 at Hawker Funeral Home and again for one hour prior to services at the church.
