Julie Ann Daley Obituary
Julie Ann Daley, 60, of Blackfoot, passed away Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 27, 1954 in Shelley, Idaho, to Wayne Clifford and Verla Salverson. She was attended school in Shelley and Blackfoot, graduating from Blackfoot High in 1972. Following high school she had various college experiences.
On June 10, 1975 she married Richard Eldon Daley in Blackfoot, Idaho. They made their home in the Blackfoot area.
Julie worked at the Idaho National Laboratory. She began as a secretary and, after on-the-job training and online classes, she became a radiological lab technician.
She was an avid archer, winning many indoor and outdoor competitions. Being a tomboy at heart, she enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband and children. She was a major backbone for her family and kept the home engines running smoothly.
As life stopped her from enjoying her hobbies, she began collecting assorted fish and raising dogs, mainly the Shih Tzu breed. She began enjoying horseback riding and playing the ukulele.
Julie loved gardening and had a fantastic green thumb. Her flowers indoors were just as beautiful as the flowers she raised indoors.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; son Walter (Jennifer Becker) Daley, all of Blackfoot; daughter, Jolene Michelle Daley of Twin Falls, Idaho; step-sons, James Eldon (Jalaine) Abbott of Salt Lake City, Utah; Robert Eldon Daley of Lava Hot Springs;
brothers, Marvin Clifford of New Orleans, Louisiana; Robert Clifford of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Melvin Salverson of Hermiston, Oregon; sisters Jaylene Worrell of Dillon, Montana; Ann Marie Jensen of Blackfoot; grandparents, Milton John and Lydia Freeman of Osgood; step-mother Barbara Clifford and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Clifford; mother Verla Salverson; step-father Aldin Salverson and sister Karen Whiting.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2014 at Hawker Funeral Home. The family will meet with friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 at the funeral home and again for one hour prior to services.
Interment will be in the Moreland Cemetery.
