Lawrence William Hotchkiss In Memoriam
Lawrence William Hotchkiss, 80, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 at his home.
He was born April 11, 1936 in Waterbury, Conn. to Earl Henry Hotchkiss and Josephine Stankus Hotchkiss.
He attended school in Waterbury.
Lawrence served in the Navy.
On April 11, 1958, he married Caroline Marie Peterman. She preceded him in death on May 26, 1998.
Lawrence affiliated with the Catholic church and was a member of the Blackfoot Elk's Lodge. Not only was he a member of the Lodge, but served as a tiler for many years. He was also a member of Blackfoot River Bowman.
He served the Borough of Glen Rock, NJ as a police officer and detective for 20 years and was a member of the New Jersey Honor Legion.
He is survived by his son, Wayne (Jackie) Martin Hotchkiss of Macon, Ga. and daughter, Sallie (Mark) Anne Carson of Lewiston, Idaho;  sisters, Marueen McNulty of Beaverton, Ore. and Kate Nelson (Dot Johnston) of Clackamus, Ore. and  four grandchildren, Seth, Hayley, Sarah and Hunter.
A celebration of his life will be held 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7 at the Blackfoot Elk's Lodge, 123 N. Ash St. under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home.
