Linda Lee Greaves Christiansen Obituary
"Grandma Linda" Linda Lee Greaves Christiansen was born May 21, 1947.
She was taken from us all too soon on September 27, 2016 at the age of 69.
Linda was born May 21, 1947, in Blackfoot, Idaho to Walter and Betty Greaves. She was welcomed by an older sister, Mary Jane (Janie) and later came two brothers, Scott and Ron.
Linda graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1965 and continued her love of learning at Ricks College.
She was married to Chris Christiansen July 27, 1966 and later divorced. Chris and Linda had seven children.
Linda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a librarian and visiting teacher. She taught her children to garden, cook, produce and store food, quilt and sew, express themselves and work hard and persevere.
In 1989 she moved to Arizona with her children and spent 12 years there, returning to Idaho in 2001.
Linda was mostly a homemaker, but she was also trained as a long haul trucker with the call handle "Mother Trucker". She was proud to have been a taxi and limo driver during her time in Arizona. She loved working at a thrift store in Arizona called "As Is".
In Idaho, she worked at Kesler's and also used her desire to help people as a caregiver at Dawn Enterprises and SE Idaho Developmental Center.
Linda's love was obvious when she chose to spend the majority of her time with her children and grandchildren. The grandchildren were the light of her life. She was full of love and kindness. Everyone who knew Linda adored her and will miss her.
When not helping take care of her family, she loved traveling, shopping, reading, gardening and attending Education Week at BYU every year with her sister. Her favorite thing was spending time with her grandchildren.
Grandma Linda is survived by her daughters Jennifer Theisen of Nyssa, OR, Melissa (Robert) Sutton of Moreland, ID; sons, Bradley (April) Christiansen of Shelley, ID, Jared (Rosangela) Christiansen of Blackfoot, ID, Joshua Christiansen of Blackfoot, ID, Matthew (Erika) Christiansen of Blackfoot, ID, Michael (Shauna) Christiansen of Firth, ID; sister, Mary Jane (Bob) Sims of Firth, ID; brothers, Scott (Diane) Greaves of Blackfoot, ID, Ronald (Kathryn) Greaves of Corralville IA; 23 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
