They were married St. Clements Episcopal Church in El Paso. Sarah and Ed enjoyed 60 years of marriage and raised two children; Dr. Matthew and Susannah. Ed and Sarah started their lives together in El Paso and moved to New Mexico in 1993. In 2002 they followed their grandchildren and moved to Blackfoot, Idaho.
One of Sarah's greatest joys was painting. She was an avid painter and loved to paint with water colors and oils. She also worked with ceramics, enamels and various other art projects. She was also a nationally accredited master floral design judge and flower show judge. She ran her own business "Sunflower" which was a custom floral business in both El Paso and Cloudcroft, New Mexico. She was a member of the El Paso Symphony Guild and the PEO. Sarah was deeply involved in St. Clements Episcopal Church. She was District Director and past President of El Dedon Verde. She also ran a wedding business in her home.
Sarah is survived by her son, Dr. Matthew (Lauren) Murdoch, of Blackfoot, a daughter, Susannah (Anthony) Cuesta, of L.A., California, her grandchildren, Kia, Ryan, and Roman, her sisters, Mary Harris, of Texas and Vicki Mitchell, of Louisiana.
