Terry Neil Freeman Obituary
Terry Neil Freeman, 56, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at his home due to an accident.
Terry was born on August 16, 1959 to Nolan Freeman and Marie Gardner in Blackfoot, Idaho. He graduated from Firth High School in 1977. From 1983 to 1985, Terry attended ISU Technical College where he studied Instrumentation.
On April 10, 1981 he married his sweetheart, Marcene Crofts in the Idaho Falls Temple. The two of them began their lives together in Shelley where they lived from 1981-1983 before moving to Blackfoot while he attended school at ISU. Upon finishing school, they moved to Rexburg where they lived for five years while he worked at Basic American Foods. They lived in Firth for a short time before moving back to Blackfoot in 1990 where they have lived since.
Terry has worked for the INL for 27 years as an Instrumentation Technician.
Terry was an active member of the LDS Church where he has served in a bishopric, on the High Council, Elders Quorum President, High Priest Group Leader, Scouting, and was currently serving as the ward Executive Secretary.
Terry loved spending time with his family, the outdoors, and camping. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, dune-buggies, four-wheelers, and his RZR, and building and flying remote control airplanes. Terry especially loved working with his hands and fixing whatever things were in need of his special touch. Terry was a very hard worker and always had a project going. He was constantly using his skills and talents to help others. He was a kind and selfless person who thought of others and how he could help them. Terry taught his children most from the example he set through his actions.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marcene; sons, Clinton Terry (Rachel) Freeman, of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Wesley N (Tasha) Freeman, of West Valley, Utah; daughter, Natalie Paige (Stuart) Talbot, of LeClaire, Iowa; parents, Nolan (Patricia) Freeman, of Firth, Idaho, and Marie Andreason, of Ammon, Idaho; brother, Scott G Freeman, of Riverside, Idaho; sisters, Nollene (Drew) Jensen, of Basalt, Idaho, and Marcia (Dean) McCarrell, of Yuma, Arizona, and eight grandchildren.
Terry was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherie Freeman, grandparents, Neil and Gladys Freeman, Melvin "Bus" and Bernice Gardner, and Lorin "Whitey" Larsen, and stepfather, John Neil Andreason.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Groveland LDS Church.
