Ruth Titus Obituary
Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.
Ruth was born on March 8, 1918 in Hampton, Iowa. Ruth's father passed when she was only 9 so she was definitely a handful for her mother. Ruth played the clarinet for various bands and symphonies and also played in the orchestra for silent movies. Ruth went to nursing school at the University of Iowa in Iowa City where she received her RN degree. She was forced to retire in 1971 after a fall a the V.A.. Ruth's passion was to travel with the Loners on Wheels pulling her travel trailer and spending time with her dalmatians and friends. Ruth also enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Ladies and going out having luncheons with her friends.
Ruth was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Barbara K. Watson in 2007.
She is survived by her son Richard Titus of the home; her grandson, Justin Titus and wife Haley; great-granddaughter, GraceLynn; step-great-grandchildren, Lilianne and Julius all of Amarillo; grandson, John Lee Watson; great grandson, Jonathon Seaborn Watson; great granddaughter, Carolyn Rue Watson English; great-great-grandson, Braydon Daniel English, all of Enterpise, Alabama; and granddaughter, Donna Rae Watson of Tucson, Az.;
The family would like to offer a special thanks to her special friends, Margie of Dr. Lovitt's office, Rebecca Martinez, BSA Hospice and Goodcare.
