Edward "Shorty" Howard, 86, of Glazier, died November 8, 2017 in Glazier.

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Canadian Chapel, with Rev. Rick Timmons, pastor of Central Baptist Church of Canadian, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Mr. Howard was born March 31, 1931 in Grand, Oklahoma to Everett and Mary Howard. He had been a resident of Glazier most of his life. He was a proud Navy veteran. Shorty worked many years in road construction and later worked for over 20 years for Lipscomb County. He and Joyce were married for over 28 years. He loved to work, enjoyed going to auctions and garage sales, and enjoyed visiting with people.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Howard of the home; two sisters, Mary Good and husband Bill of Blachly, Oregon, and Violet Cathey and husband Larry of Canyon; a stepson, Jim Richardson and wife Marsha of Pampa; grandson, Wesley Eugene Belflower of Valley Del Oro; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Shorty was preceded in death by a son, Eugene Belflower; a brother, Bob Howard; and a daughter-in-law, Pat Belflower.
