Evelyn Ruth Elton Pulliam passed away Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26 at Texas Masonic Retirement Center, 1501 W. Division Street, Arlington, Texas.

Evelyn was born July 19, 1929, in Benbrook, to Jim and Dovie McKeon. She married W.E. "Buck" Elton, April 15, 1949, in Fort Worth. She attended Texas Woman's University. Evelyn was a mother and homemaker. She had a beautiful voice, sang in the church choir, and taught Sunday school. She was an avid decorator and fashionista. After Buck's death in 1976, she relocated to Fort Worth, where she met and married J.D. Pulliam in May 1986. After J.D.'s death in 1993, she moved to Arlington in 2003 to Texas Masonic Retirement Center. She enjoyed leading the church music in the retirement center, as well as bingo, arts and crafts, and playing the hand bells. She also loved chocolate. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, W.E. "Buck" Elton; and second husband, J.D. Pulliam; and daughter, Alexis Elton Lawhon. Survivors: Sister, Jimmye Ann Hayes; daughters, Emilie Elton Davis Enterline and husband, Greg, and Elizabeth Elton Smith and husband, Kimbell; as well as grandchildren, Tracy Davis, Allison, Andrew, and Alana Smith, Katie, Jordan, Alex, and Chase Enterline; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
