I worked for Bob for many years at Printing Services. He taught me the business of printing, and through his example, the skills of management. He treated his employees with respect and compassion. He understood and appreciated the need for balance between work and family, and we were all better for it. He was fair and reasonable and smart, with a great sense of humor to boot. I know Marlene and the rest of his family will miss him greatly. My thoughts are with you.

Mr. Hubbard hired me back in 1987. I have always been grateful to him for that. He was a kind and gentle soul and we will miss him.

This is such sad news and our hearts go out in a special way to all Bob's beloved family. Our Ann Arbor memories include Bob as a warmhearted, gentle man with a good sense of humor and obvious delight in his family. We have always been so grateful to him and Marlene for so courageously entrusting Sandy to us for a 4 week camping trip. People like Bob and Marlene and their family make the world a better place, and we hope it is a comfort to all those who loved him to know that even those of us now on the "fringes" realized what a lovely person he was. With our heartfelt sympathy, Billy and Elisa A Frye.

I worked for Mr. Hubbard a number of years ago at the University of Michigan. He was a gracious and caring leader. My thoughts and prayers are with his family
