The funeral service for MSG John Joseph Rosenbaum Jr. is being held Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the Trahan Family Funeral Home in Pensacola, Fla. at 2 p.m. MSG Rosenbaum passed away September 21, 2016, in Pensacola. He was born on December 17, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pa., and later lived in Pensacola, Fla. MSG made the Army his career, traveled the world, served three tours in Vietnam and retired after 26 years of service in Anniston. He earned many awards and honor, including, the parachutist badge, eight overseas service stars, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantryman's Badge, Bronze Star medal, and the Purple Heart, to name a few. John is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Elizabeth Rosenbaum; and his granddaughter, Anna Caroline Williams. He is survived by his father, John J. Rosenbaum Sr.; his wife, Eugenia D. Rosenbaum; his sister, Janet Daniels; children, Amy Villeda and Margaret Ann Williams; grandchildren, Sierra Pittman and Ryder Williams.
