Anniston - Funeral services for Mr. Herman L. Freeman, 72, of Anniston, will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with the Reverend David Teel officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from noon until the service hour at the funeral home. Mr. Freeman gave his life back into the hand of his Creator on May 7, 2013 at NE Alabama Regional Medical Center. Mr. Freeman served his country honorably in the United States Army from December 1958 - March 1962. He retired from the Anniston Army Depot after 31 years as a Munitions Operator Leader. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Leeroy and Lois Teet Freeman; a sister, Myrtle E. Freeman; and a brother, David Harold Freeman. Mr. Freeman is survived by his wife of 19 years, Johanna Freeman; his sister, Barbara (William) Crib; his sons, Ronald (Leta) Freeman and Ray (Dina) Freeman; grandchildren, Dustin Freeman, Mitchell Freeman, Christina Sears, and Joanna Freeman; a great-granddaughter, Baylie Sears; two sisters-in-law in Germany; a special cousin, Dorthey Jones; and special friends, Billy and Rosie Bunn.
