Marla Kay Wolfe Blaylock Obituary

Piedmont - Marla Kay Wolfe Blaylock, 71, of Piedmont, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in Anniston. Marla was a lifelong resident of Piedmont and was a member of the Piedmont Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She loved cats and working in her flowers and was known for her sewing and alterations she did for the public. Marla is survived by a son, Earnest Robert Blaylock II, of Piedmont; three great-grandchildren, Kyle Phillips, Daniel Phillips and Adam Wade; two sisters, Linda Sue Warren (Norris) and Janice Spivey, all of Piedmont; two brothers, Roland Wolfe (Elaine), of Wellborn and Robert Wolfe (Anita), of Leeds and several nieces and nephews. Marla was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Blaylock; daughter, Sherry Blaylock; two grandchildren, David Phillips and Miranda Phillips and her parents, Roy and Willie Mae Wolfe. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions to the V Foundation, P.O. Box 572, Piedmont, AL 367272, which is a non-profit organization to assist cancer patients or to the Piedmont Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 333, Piedmont, AL 36272.
