Mrs. Diana Garmon Oliver, 60, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at her residence. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Oliver is survived by her husband of 37 years, J. Stephen Oliver, of Anniston; her twin sons, James Alton Oliver, of Anniston and Johnnie Duane Oliver, of Charleston, S.C.; her sister, Sarah Lynn White and her husband, Michael; her father, Van Garmon; two nephews, Brent and Junior White and a special aunt, Dean Smart, of Piedmont. Diana was born January 1, 1954, in Gadsden. She attended Oxford schools and graduated from Oxford High School in 1973. She then worked for many years in the local banking industry. She managed Jacksonville State Bank in Weaver and was sales manager for Compass Bank in Jacksonville. She, along with her husband, Steve, opened Oliver Mountain first as a market, then a restaurant and subsequently an antique store which she was operating prior to her death. Diana loved flowers, her special pets, crocheting and crafts. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to extend special thanks to Comfort Care Hospice, St Vincent's Hospitals in Birmingham and Pell City and to their family members and friends for their loving and compassionate care. The unending support helped the Oliver family during a critical time in their lives. Diana was preceded in death by her mother, Johnnie Garmon.
