Ed Junior Gowens Obituary

Ed Junior Gowens, 87, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Piedmont Health Care Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Estell and Pearl Matthews Gowens; wife, Lessie Orene Gowens; son, Eddie Gowens and granddaughter, Melissa Odell. Survivors include his son, Terry Gowens; sisters, Martha Ann Mathis and Bonnie Ruth Gossett; grandchildren, Brandy Sudberry, Nicole Parker, Alvin Gowens, Scottie Gowens, Chris Gowens, Shanna Young and Amanda Donnati; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Dansby Heritage Chapel with burial to follow in Union Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 - 8 p.m. Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Gowens Family.
